Meet Our Director of Preschool & Children, Sheila Gardner:

Sheila joined the staff in March 2007, in a new position as the Children & Preschool Director. She and Roger have just celebrated their 20th anniversary in April, 2007 and have three children, Emily and Samuel, twins that are 13 years old and Allison 9 years old. She graduated from Shelby High School and received an AS degree in computer science from Gaston College in 1985. They reside in Swannanoa.

She has worked with Montreat Morning School since 2001 teaching preschool and has her North Carolina Teaching Certificate. She is acting upon her love of children and using this gift from God to direct the children’s department here at FBC Swannanoa. Vacation Bible School, Worship Kidstyle, Children’s Church, RA’s & GA’s, are some of the fun things that we do for children in order for them to learn about God’s love and most importantly, to become Christians. She invites all children from birth up to 6th grade to come and visit.
